Should I be considered as a self employed because I earned money, doing a temp job and received a 1099-misc?

Do I have to file a Schedule C, when I do not have a business?

Yes, when you receive a 1099-Misc for services rendered you are considered an independent contractor which is the same as self-employed.  You need to file a Schedule C.
