Set "Requested Payment Date" to asap now or a later date (but on time)

With the IRS delaying Tax filing deadline to July 15, if we owe Federal Tax, is there any reason for paying the taxes asap now versus wait till closer to the deadline (July 15)?

Is there any implication/risk for setting the "Requested Payment Date" a later time (but still on time)?

no risk unless you happen to not pay the full amount owed or forget to pay.
