Self-select PIN from last year does not match IRS records.

message after being rejected "Self-select PIN from last year does not match IRS records."
I mailed 3029 returns which I am sure the IRS has not even looked at. Is THS the reason i can't e-file? Also, I don't remember having a self select pin for last year because I mailed it. Is this correct? Because my  AGI  is correct. I checked like 10 times.

that PIN is your self -select PIN for next year . Pick one and make  note of it. Then try AGI = 0 or tell TurboTax you did not file last year and try AGI = 0

The PIN will only be useful if you e-File.

There is  a different field for the PIN I was referring to.

Your REJECT message says something is in there.

hey make sure the field for the self-select PIN from last year is empty, then try again for the 11th time with AGI only.

it won't let me make it empty. I am filing 2020 taxes and it makes me fill out .

Enter a 5 digit signature ID

Pin must be 5 digits

(Use any number you like)

So it won't let me have it empty. And so I am not sure what to do. Turbo Tax is failing me miserably.

My pin was auto-populated from previous year with six digits, but only allows five.  Rejection said it was empty, even though it looked populated.  I had to clear and just enter first five digits of old pin and am waiting to see if that works.

I'm kind of in a time warp mode but figured it out as per some of the help and responses i got here and searching google. Called support after trying for the 6th time and they said they could not retrieve my pin # even though I said I don't think I used one last time. I used a made up pin number NOW because I mailed it last time and was never asked for a pin but this last time (6th time) i used 0 as the AGI instead of line 8b.

So that's 0 for AGI if you get a

Reject Code IND-031-04

Not saying this is the answer but possibly one of them.

It said IRS was accepted and waiting for state.
