Schedule K-3 is not attached with schedule k-1 (Form 1065)

I received schedule K-1 (1065 form) from EPD and MMP. Both forms have box 16 checked stating schedule K-3 is attached.  However, both entities state they will monitor if the schedule K-3 is ultimately required. If required, the schedule K-3 will be available online by August 31, 2022. I have put the data in schedule K-1 in TurboTax. The federal smart check will not let me pass saying the schedule k-3 is pending next update. It looks like the entities will not have K-3 available until summer either. What should I do to e-file my tax on time?

k-3 is for foreign income reporting.     it's possible that neither partnership will have any info on the k-3.   

EPD had no foreign reporting in 2020 

MMP had no foreign reporting in 2019

so you may be waiting for nothing.

it's up to you. extend until you get the info and then e-file or uncheck the k-3 box to e-file now. if you later get K-3 info that affects your return then amend.
