"Schedule D and 8949 not working correctly."

Are you in TurboTax Online or TurboTax Desktop?

Are you saying that the numbers on Schedule D do not equal the numbers on IRS form 8949?

Are you saying that the tax computation related to Schedule D is incorrect?  Is the tax computation made on the Schedule D Tax Worksheet or the Qualified Dividends and Capital Gain Tax Worksheet

Please clarify.

I am on the Desktop version.

The data from the 8949 looks fine, but it populates Schedule D with different (highly inflated) data.

This then is used to calculate the tax.

I would suggest you do a manual update of your software and then see if you continue to have this issue. Manually Update TurboTax for Windows Software

No. I have a Mac Desktop version. It updates both Fed and State and then says, "You're up to date."

I have done this many times over the last month.

The problem is the link from the details of sales which show up correctly but then Schedule D has much larger numbers. I use the Codes A, D and E. when inputing.

Also, tried to type over the bad fields but keying (or deleting) is blocked.

Removing Form didn't work either,

Thanks

We'd love to help you complete your tax return, but need more information. Can you please clarify your question? which Part/lines of schedule D is/are incorrect?
