Schedule c question

If i had a misc business expense in 2019 and 2020 lets say it was a subscription to a trade magazine. And I did not have that expense in 2021.Should i delete it from the misc expense line when go into my schedule c its already there since it was there the past 2 years. Or should i just leave it and leave the amount  paid blank.

Delete it.  If there is nothing on that line, it might cause an error when you attempt to e-file.   For tax purposes, it doesn't matter, but sometimes having a zero or blank entry makes TurboTax unhappy.     If you are trying to delete it in Forms mode, delete it from the Schedule C Worksheet (Schedule C Wks) if you can't delete it from the Schedule C.    

 

Here are some other common expenses most self-employed taxpayers will want to review - just to be sure you are maximizing your deductions.

thank you then that explains why it kept asking me a weird question on expenses since there was nothing there. I will delete the expenses i dont have anymore
