Schedule C indicates there are invalid characters in Part V, but it is blank. How do I get this to clear so I can file?

Part five would be where you enter miscellaneous expenses. You may have a miscellaneous expense category carried over from the previous year that does not have an amount listed. You can go through your miscellaneous expense entries in the business expenses section to see if you find an expense without an amount, and if so delete it:
