If you are saying that the amount being reported is $0.05, then it is not going to make a material difference on your return.  However, you may want to go ahead and include it just so that you can show that it was included if you are ever asked.

You will enter it as 'other taxable income' where it will be reported on Form 1040 Schedule 1 line 8z.  It will then be included as part of Form 1040 line 8.

Use these steps:

  • Go to the Federal > Income section
  • Scroll down to the bottom where you see Less Common Income
  • Click Start beside the last item Miscellaneous Income, 1099-A, 1099-C
  • Scroll down to the bottom and click Start beside  Other Reportable Income
  • Type a short description for the payment and then enter the amount

For the description you could say something like 'Robinhood misc income' and then show the amount.
