Reporting interest from the IRS when you haven't received a form

Hello,

How do you report interest from the IRS when the IRS has not provided a form?

I received my first economic Impact Payment in the form of a refund check with interest in 2022.  The interest was just under $26.  I'm not sure how to report the EIP.  TurboTax is not providing a prompt for this.  I know I need to report the interest portion of the EIP, but I'm not sure how.

I would appreciate advice on how to report the interest without a form.  I live abroad so I don't have the means to chase the IRS for a form.

Only the interest paid is income not the EIP  payment and you can simply enter it as interest income ... payer : IRS and the interest is put in box 1 ... no formal form is needed.

Enter interest income in the Search box locate in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to interest income

On the screen Did you receive any interest income? Click on Yes

On the next screen click on Continue

On the screen Let's import your tax info Click on Change how I enter my form

On the screen How do you want to add your 1099‑INT? Click on Type it in myself
