Reporting Advance child tax credit payment when filing jointly

Re subject line: TT Online is very specific that the "exact" amount should be entered that matches the amount detailed on the IRS AdvCTC letter 6419.   However, as my spouse and I file jointly we each got a letter which split the single payment we received of $167.  In other words we each got a letter reporting an advance payment of $83.50.   However TT rounds this up to $168 USD - when in reality we received $167.   I understand how rounding works on tax returns but TT seems to be making a particular point about entering the exact amount or there is a risk IRS will require an amended return.  Is it just poor wording on the part of TT?

Thanks

Only the total advance child tax credit is used and does not include who received the credit on the tax return.  So just adjust the amount received for each of you so it totals the correct amount.

Ok then TT worded it very poorly stating that the "exact" amount showing on the letters should be shown...they don't seem to be factoring the rounding

the mistake TT is making, if you are married filing jointly, is it rounds up the individual amounts you report. Each spouse gets a letter detailing their portion of the payment - even if only one spouse received the actual payment.  And TT requires each spouse reports their portion in a different field.  It rounds up those individual amounts rather than the total amount.
