Remarried, self employed with dependants how do I file?

I remarried in February and we are both self-employed, I am 1099 and he is not. He is currently on a payment plan because he is an immigrant and filed previous 3 years. He has an ITIN. I claim one dependent. Is it better to file married filing jointly or separately?

Your nonresident spouse is treated as a citizen for tax purposes and it is almost always better to file jointly rather than separately.
