Refund Decreased Significantly when I Reopened TurboTax

When I closed TurboTax (downloaded version) on my PC last week, my refund was around $2600 (similar to last year's). When I reopened it yesterday, it was $69.

After checking many numbers, I started a new return from scratch, just to see if there were a glitch. Just by entering our two W-2s (not entering anything else), it showed a refund of $333, when it had been close to $3000 after entering the same items last week.  Could there be a glitch?

maybe. but maybe the glitch was with the original version, not the current one. maybe you made different entries in the new and old versions.  if you didn't save copies there's no way to know.

But I made no changes. The change in the refund happened between the time I closed the program and the time I re-opened it.

Also: I did keep a copy of the initial return. I started the new one and saved it with a new name.

Please see the Help Article here as to why this may have happened in regards to the refund meter changing.
