Received SSA-1099 should I also receive some form of 1099 from the Disability Insurance for the offset paid

I received Long Term Disability Insurance payments for Oct, Nov and Dec 2024.  My LTD insurance payment was offset by my  Federal SSDI payments for the same 3 month period, and I did receive a SSA-1099 for 2024.

My question is should I receive a 1099 of some sort  from the Disability Insurance Company for the smaller off-set amount, like the provided SSA-1099?

(I dont belive a 1099-G as thought this was for unemployment, possibly a 1099-R.  Some other post referenced a comment on W2)

Thank You,

LJS

It depends. First you should contact the company who paid your long term disability payments to you. Find out if a form is going to be issued and sent to you. It's possible the social security offset was used to repay this to that company.  If that's the case you will simply report the SSA-1099 without any concern for the offset.
