Here are the steps to enter a manufacturer's incentive in TurboTax:
(Manufacturer's Incentives are sometimes referred to as SPIFFS)Thank you for your answer! Do I still need to input them into the 1099 section also? or just put them in on line 21?
If you have manually added the item on line 21 (in desktop program) you would want to go back and take it out if you use my instructions above. I'm not sure what program you are using, but do know that you can only manually add it to a line in the desktop program. You would not want to enter it on line 21 AND enter in the 1099 section.
I did check the "This was a manufacturer's incentive payment" box when entering income on my 1099-MISC as a car salesman. I also entered Spiff as a description. It won't let me finish without entering Schedule C info.
See if you can delete the Schedule C.
