Ready to file, but review says there are too many entries on my dividend income worksheet. using deluxe version will not show me where the correction needs to be made?

Did you download the IRS form 1099-DIV or did you enter the form by hand?

 

If the form was downloaded, there may have been information entered that is visible when you click My form has info in other boxes.

 

Click the box and review the information previously out of sight to see whether an entry there is conflicting with the software.

 

• Down the left side of the screen, click on Federal.
• Down the left side of the screen, click on Wages & Income.
• Scroll down to Investments and Savings.  Click the down arrow to the right.
• Click the down arrow to the right of the dividend income.
• Click Edit to review.
• See the box My form has info in other boxes.
