Re: Federal return rejection Reject Code F8960-019-04 Processing error Form 8960, Net Investment ...

FWIW - I got a vmail from TT stating I hadn’t yet completed my returns and I just needed to log in and they’d help me.  It seems like this thread either closed or just went dark.  But I did open TT and oddly enough, that error warning is still there, but this time, it says that the problems will be resolved on 2/19/2023 and I can e-File again after that.  The IRS sheet still doesn’t show any changes, but sometimes they’re behind.  I won’t hold my breath, but this seems to be the first time that TT has actually given a written promise date, so thought I’d share, especially to @alexclaytor  and @BligBlueLaser .  Here’s hoping…

@Dano18

Yeah I’d love to update that long post reply with this new date/information but you are correct: the mods locked the entire post with no warning (replies included) for reasons unknown.

@Dano18  Thank you for letting me know! I don't know why the thread was locked, it's super annoying.

FYI I went ahead and filed today and it is working!  Both of my returns have been accepted.

Thanks @anthonytari  I went ahead and held my breath and submitted them both today as well.  Fed was accepted within 10 minutes and State was accepted within 3 hours.  The IRS Known Issues sheet hasn’t been touched since 2/1, but obviously something on either the IRS or TT (or both) end changed.  Can’t imagine the Project Manager in charge of that sheet is updating it constantly, so…  Now, here’s hoping that it doesn’t sit in IRS limbo for months because they didn’t do their part.  Though I can’t see TT allowing it to be filed now and the IRS actually accepting it if something hadn’t been corrected.

Fingers crossed and thanks again!

I checked the IRS spreadsheet yesterday, and it was updated to say the case is still OPEN, but has a 02/19 target resolution date. On a whim, I submitted last evening thru TT, and BOTH Federal and State we accepted. Ya-hoo!! It appears this one is resolved!! Good luck, everyone.
