Question about what is personal property taxes.

It says buying personal property other than real estate, such as cars, boats etc. I bought a car last year and paid a considerable amount of taxes. Can I write them off here?  I cannot itemize so this tax is not written off anywhere else.

Thanks

No, you have to itemize to deduct taxes. Personal property tax other than real estate primarily refers to such taxes as car registration based on the value of the vehicle.
