Problem with turbo tax software not letting me file seperate returns for children

Hi, I finished my return. I was not able to include my kids unearned income on my return.

I searched on google before I chose turbo tax because I need to file returns for my kids using my turbo tax account, but I do not see the option to start a new return. I saw someone else respond to a similar post in this community, and they said that the online software does not allow you to do multiple returns. Can someone confirm that statement or help me out. I do not plan to use turbo tax next year if I can not file returns for my kids with my account. Thank you!

Yes, that is correct. TurboTax Online can only file one Federal Tax return. TurboTax Desktop can file up to 5 returns.

If you used TurboTax Online you will need to create new accounts for each of your kids to file their returns now.

Yes, with an online account you can only do one return per account. Any further ones would need to create their own account.  However if it's for your kids they probably would qualify for a free account, but be careful about that because it could be tricky qualifying. However if you have the desktop/download version you can do an unlimited number of returns but can only e-file 5 returns.
