Premier 2024 Windows Desktop bug?!: the California state review has an infinite loop of 6 pages

The TT Premier Windows desktop (NOT web based) program loops through 6 pages when it analyzes my California return.  The 6 pages are:  "Work on state return", "Your state returns", "Live tax advice", "make sure taxes are correct", "Analyzing return", "Finish California taxes first".  The program then returns to "Work on state return".

There is no indication of anything to correct or change.

If you are still having difficulty with your California return:

 

  • Check your internet connection. Hardwired connections work best. 
  • Try a different browser. Chrome generally works well.
  • Try clearing your cache and cookies.  
  • Make sure you have run any state updates.
