Post-doctoral federally funded fellowship- question related to a W2

Hello,

I am an NRSA-funded postdoctoral fellow, and I know that my stipends are taxable from previous years.  My university is not required to provide 1099 misc forms, so I always report on line 8R, and it hasn't been an issue with e-filing. This year, I was given a W2 with only box 12 filled in with a code of "DD" (what I paid in insurance).

Am I correct in not including W2 since DD is for informational purposes only? It is currently the only reason I cannot e-file.

Thanks,

AK

Yes. if you included the income and the only thing on the W2 is the Box 12 DD, you can delete it in TurboTax so that you can efile.  The information is for Information purposes only.
