Possible to hard delete a mistakenly-entered entity from Section 199A info?

I learned I need to enter passthrough entity Section 199A info differently, but currently my existing K-1 return has an erroneous "sub-entity" showing up every time I try to enter new/different info for the Section 199A details. It seems to have grabbed the first (incorrect) Name of Business and EIN, and continues to use it every time I page back into the form - even after I delete out the entry and click "continue". Is there a way to hard delete this incorrect entity from my existing K-1 or do I have to restart my entire return to get the program to forget that sub-entity?

Hi, mlemaire87,

If you are using TurboTax Online, you can:

In the left menu, select Tax Tools and then Tools.
In the pop-up window Tool Center, choose Delete a form.

Hi Karen,

Actually I'm using the downloaded desktop version of TurboTax - is there still a way to get the Section 199A info for a particular K-1 to "forget" the previously entered incorrect entity?

Yes, you can do it TurboTax Desktop too!

Here are the instructions from this article.

  4. After the form is generated in the right pane, select the Delete Form button.
  5. Follow any onscreen instructions to remove the form or forms.

Mac instructions

  1. Open or continue your return.
  2. Switch to Forms Mode by selecting the Forms icon.
  3. From the menu, select the form you want to remove (if you don't see it, select Open Form at the top).

Hope this helps.
