Please Respond: If "2018 Tax Breakdown" says I have only an allowable 9,700. SALT deduction, but Schedule A gives me (correctly) the full allowable 10K, which is correct?

Please Respond: If Schedule A gives me, on line 7, the 10K max SALT deduction, but "2018 Tax Breakdown" only (& erroneously) says I have a $9,700 SALT deduction, which info should I go by?

(Ideally, the information would reconciled, but the Tax Breakdown will not list my allowable R.E. tax, that I have inputted on the same pg. as mtge. interest.)

The Schedule A line 5e is where you should look to confirm your total deduction, based on your question it sounds like the full $10k is being deducted there and that is what will be filed to the IRS when you e-file.

There may be an amount allocated to DMV fees, some other personal property taxes or state disability insurance that is not being accounted for in that "2018 tax breakdown". That is likely an oversight in the program and I would instead rely on the Schedule A as you mentioned.
