PC version of TurboTax for 2024 does NOT warrn you about PIN. It aitmaticalkly enters last year's PIN which (yes I'm shouting) TURBOTAX SHOULD KNOW WILL BE REJECTED! The page makes it seem last yer's PIN will be fine for this year.
What you enter for the 5 digit self-selected PIN is not relevant. What needs to be entered correctly is the 2023 AGI so that the 2024 tax return can be e-filed.
PIN is NOT irrelevant if you use PIN (which is a good idea). All other entries were fine.
The PIN is not self-selected. It is issued to you by the IRS if you request it.

I was referencing the 5 digit self-selected PIN when you are in e-filing the tax return, not the IP PIN sent by the IRS.
If an Identity Protection PIN was requested and received from the IRS then that number is required to be entered on the tax return.
To enter, edit or delete a 6 digit IP PIN
Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Other Tax Situations
Scroll down to Other Return Info
On Identity Protection PIN, click the start button
