pass-through business alternative income tax credit

Hello,

I am receiving this message when I go to e-file my NJ return:

"returns with pass-through business alternative income tax credit are not eligible for e-filing".

When I look at my forms,  I am not receiving this credit.  What is going on here and can I fix it so that I can e-file?

I am getting a message that says "returns with pass-through business alternative tax credit are not eligible for electronic filling" . I am getting this message that I can not file my state return electronically. my return is almost identically to last year. How can I fix this?

I'm getting the same message for NJ State return about pass-through business alternative income tax credit.   I do not have that tax credit but I cannot file on-line because it says I do.  Ca we get this fixed?

Same issue for my NJ return, "returns with pass-through business alternative income tax credit are not eligible for e-filing".  I do not have this credit. When will this issue be resolved so that I can electronically file my NJ taxes?

Same issue.  Where is TT response?  Also issue with NJ DOP form.

I'm getting the same error. I do not have this credit and if I understand the applicability of this, I do not have a small business and should not be getting this error. This must be a bug and needs to be fixed!

I have same problem....  I do not own my own business... how do I get out of this error?

Talked to TT.  Representative said there is a bug for the business alternative income tax credit error.  Apparently they are working on it but no date certain for fix.  In addition, anyone having problems with NJ-DOP Form, the update was due today 2/17 but apparently was not included.  TT tax said updates may not be released exactly on date noted and to check for future updates.   May be tomorrow??? Not much help.

I also have the same issue. There is absolutely nothing different from this years NJ tax return from any previous

years. It must be a BUG in this current release. TURBO TAX please fix before I lose faith in your software.

Thanks

I thought I read on TT that you could print out the return and mail it along with w2's and 1099-R's

It did... but I don't want to print and mail...  I'm sure others feel similarly

I saw the mailing option too. I will wait & see what TT will do.

I would also prefer to file electronically.  I will give it a couple of days to see if they come up with a solution, otherwise I'll just mail it and wait for my refund.  My federal went right through with no problem.

Thanks for posting your original answer so we know what is going on.

I called turbotax yesterday and they told me the problem was on their end.  got email that NJ form was fixed.  Go back into the software and update NJ and it should work now.

I had the same problem yesterday. Today, I closed my TurboTax file and reopened it. When it reopened, there was a message that NJ software was updated.  I was able to electronically file today.

Unfortunately, I followed the same procedure but my NJ return still won't efile. So your issue must somehow be different from most others with this problem.
