Paid with a credit card but federal filing was rejected; when I resubmitted, I didn't enter my credit card again - is this okay?

Last night I tried to file my return electronically, and I paid the amount that I owed with a credit card. Within an hour I was informed that my return was rejected. So I attempted to file again, and when I did, I was informed that my return was rejected again. Today, I noticed that my credit card was charged one time (not twice) for the amount that I owed in taxes as well as the processing fee. However, my return was rejected both times last night. But I was thankful my card was only charged once.

So just now, I re-filed my return again electronically --- I think I caught my mistake. But when I went to re-file, I was again asked to provide payment. I simply chose that I would 'mail by check'. However, I do not plan to mail a check since my credit card was charged the appropriate amount. Is this okay to do?
