Paid in NJ, but live in NC

Dear Turbotax, for my 2021 Tax calculations, I live full time in NC, but my company pays me out of its office in NJ.

On my W2, in Box 16, my company input my NC wages at 100% of my Box1Federal Wages and my NJ wages at 45.1% of my Box1 Federal Wages.  And in Box 17, my W2 shows that I paid to NC 2.82% of my Box 16 NC wages in taxes, and to NJ 8.20% of my Box 16 NJ wages in taxes (or 3.70% of my Box1 Federal wages).

When I filled out turbotax, NJ becomes the primay tax location and my taxes in NJ go up by another 1.47% of my Box1 Fed wages, and my NC taxes go down by about -1.65% of my Box1 Fed wages.

So in total, TurboTax has me paying NJ 4.16% of my Fed Box 1 wages and NC 1.17% of my Fed Box1 wages.  This doesn't make sense to me.  Live in NC, my kids go to school here, I drive on the roads here, etc..  I get no benefits from the state of NJ.  It seems incorrect that I would pay NJ 3.56X what I pay NC.
