"Other Income" Shows After Importing Investment Accounts TurboTax Doesn't Show Where It's From

"Other Income" shows in the summary section, but when I go to revisit, nothing matches the number, and the total showing is far less income than what shows in the summary section.

The only income I have is from w2 employment, bank interest, and brokerage accounts.

W2 income matches the number in summary.

Interest and Dividend matches summary.

The sum of everything else (investment income) is 10% of what summary has listed under "Other Income"

Any idea where to find where the "Other Income" is from?

The 1099-MISC and Other Common Income section is all $0 for me.

To start a process to identify "Other Income" you should start by looking at your tax return.

  1. On the menu bar on the left that shows.
    1. My Info
    2. Federal
    3. State
    4. Review
    5. File
  2. Select Tax Tools
  3. On the drop-down select Tools
  4. On the popup menu
  5. Select View Tax Summary
  6. On the left sidebar

Select Preview my 1040

Line 10 represents "Other Income" that is reported on Schedule 1

  • To see your schedule 1 you must first pay for your copy of TurboTax.
  • You do not have to nor should you file your return now.
  • Once paid for you can view and print all of your forms.
  • Check Schedule 1 and it will show where the additional income is coming from.
