On very final review prompt to print, I found mistake I had repeatedly tried to fix

FYI

Self-employed.

Found error I repeatedly tried to fix (TT bug) and thought I had when I reached screen prompting me to print out taxes for one more view before hitting transmit which I did not do.

I have everything done, that is:  payments calculated to Fed and state, bank and credit card info entered, electronic signatures, TT charged me already for state file fee!—I have the order confirmation—and, to repeat, I have not yet filed (that is “transmitted”).

They’re on my Schedule C—an expense in Other Miscellaneous Expenses —is listed four times!! And TT must have a bug cos I tried to fix it three times on previous error review prompts from TurboTax. I would delete item and amount, re-input, and it kept repeating it anyway.

Now I need to go all the way back to Schedule C, fix it, that is, IF TT will let me fix it, then ALL the figures will change, including what I owe the state and fed!!! Thank God I I took the time to print out my return—all 63 pages of it! I have used TT for many years and always do this.

so—What to do? And this is not my error, it kept asking me over and over on its own review that it found an error, to go back —I would see my ONE miscellaneous expense listed only.

I am NOT hitting transmit with this glaring error.

please help! Thank you!

What is the error/expense? It may be carrying from somewhere. Also, you could have a full or corrupted cache. This can cause problems in TurboTax, sometimes you need to clear your cache (that is, remove these temporary files).

Online version:

  1. Delete the entry causing trouble - if possible, see How to Delete
  2. Log out of your return and try one or more of the following:
    • Don't use Internet Explorer.
    • Clear cache and cookies,
    • Sign in using a different browser.
    • Sign in using a different device.
  3. Log back into your return.
    • Enter the information again.

Desktop version:

  1. Delete the entry error
  2. Save your return while closing the program.
  3. Update the program
  4. Open
  5. Enter the information again.

If this continues, reply with more information about what you are seeing where. The more information to understand your problem, the better.
