On SSA-1099, nontaxable compared to taxable for 2017 much greater than in 2016. Seems numbers are flipped. I can't see why this occurred in any TurboTax file I have.

Benefit and deductions (Medicare B/C/D) about the same both years.

Perhaps you had a change in some other type of income, such as wages or retirement plan distributions. Your other income affects how much of your Social Security benefits are taxable. Please see the FAQ below for more information.
