On my W2, my employer's address is US based, but my address (employee) is foreign based. How to make this distinction?

Hello everyone!

When I automatically imported my W2, it kept giving me an error for box e/f of the W2 (employee address), because it's foreign and unable to recognize my ZIP code. So, I tried to enter it manually, but I only see an option to change address type for employer's information, not employee. Anybody know how I can fix this? Any help would be appreciated. Thank You!

I don't know if this will help, but see the info in the TurboTax FAQ below for entering your foreign address in the Personal Info section of the TT program.  "Maybe" the program will then allow you to manually enter your W-2.  Fingers crossed!

Hello @ms123, I have exactly the same problem right now as you did. How did you manage to solve this?

Thanks!

The address of your employer has no affect on your filing when you have a foreign address.  The IRS tracks employers by their EIN not there name or address.  When you file your tax return be sure to indicate that your address is a foreign address.
