On my certificate of rent paid the ECN that I was given is only 9 numbers. Due to this, it won't let me file. How can I move forward in filing my taxes?

Do you mean EIN Employer Identification Number?

An EIN is 9 digits, so that should not cause an error.

Yes it is Electronic Certificate number (ECN) that is 9 digits and it's not letting me file because it says it's supposed to be 10.  I asked my agent about it and she said the ECN is generated by the state she can't change it.  I also tried to say I would file by mailing it in but it won't let me do that either.

The ECN is generated by the property owner or the managing company. Check back with the owner or company to have number corrected.

I checked with them and they said they don't generate the ECN and they can't fix it on their end.  Is there a way to file where I can attach the document/proof, or by mail so I can move forward with filing my taxes?

Before you mail, try placing 0's in front of the ECN to make it ten digits. If this doesn't work, then print your state tax return and mail it along with the attached certificate.

I put a zero in front of it and it let it go through.  Also leaving it blank seems to allow it.  Not sure what is going to happen when the state gets it but this is a Turbo Tax problem that they should fix but seem to refuse to do so.
