NYS 1099-g box 2 pandemic aid repayment

Hi,

Im one of the ones that NYS dept of labor accidentally gave the two extra $600 pandemic unemployment payments to.
I repaid it in full when they reached out to all of us and the $1200 is listed on my 2021 1099-g form in box 2 (labeled “adjustments.”) I’m filing online and I’m confused where to put this amount. Does it go with the repayment of unemployment section or under schedule A “repayment under claim of right?”

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You enter the repayment in the screen where you enter the 1099-G information.

Enter the amount repaid in the box that says 2021 benefits repaid.

Open your return
Select the magnifying glass and search for 1099-G.
Select the Jump-to link
Answer the questions did you receive unemployment or paid family leave benefits in 2021? screen, answer Yes.
Follow the onscreen instructions to enter your 1099-G information
Enter the amount repaid in the box below Box 1 where it says 2021 benefits repaid.
