new return

I'm having trouble starting a new return in my Premier software.  I tried starting a new return for myself but it would act like it was trying to open something then the whole program would shutdown.  The only way I could get a return started for myself was to open my return from last year.  I now have a child with a job and am trying to open a return for them but it's doing the same thing.  I've tried restarting my laptop but it keeps doing the same thing.

Are you on Windows?   How are you trying to start a new return?  Are you going up to File-New Tax Return?  Then what do you get?  A box to Continue an existing return?  Do you see the 2 blue buttons to Start A New Return  and Continue from Turbo Tax Online?

 

Have you updated the program?  Go up to Online-Check for Updates.  If you are on Windows there may be some Windows updates to do also.
