new extension by feds conflicting with state

Hello Good People,

I'm new here, so please bear with my newbie questions on the complexities of taxes.

I just read today (March 17) that our federal taxes are extended by 90 days. However, CA taxes are extended too, but due on June 15. I just finished taxes and don't know how to proceed. Does Turbo Tax know that if I submit by early June (before the CA deadline) that this deadline is in place, or will the e-filing think I'm late and thus I get charged a late fee. Similary, do I need to contact the federal or state government to tell them that I'm not submitting what I owe during the normal deadline? Again, I'm new to this turbotax process. Thanks for any tips coming this way.

Sincerely,

Jack

Intuit Turbo Tax has regular software updates that should take this into consideration.
