My wife just got her social security number in the mail today and I am getting denied the e-file because her information cannot be verified by the IRS. What to do?
Should I wait and try to e-file after a little time to let her data be accessable? Or should I paper file?

You will probably have to mail file this year. It can take the IRS several months before a new SSN gets into the e-file data base. You might want to wait until early April and try, but it still might not be there.
