My wife is a travel nurse we’ve lived in multiple states were trying to do a joint filing Is there anything special I need to do

No, as long as you lived in the multiple states with her, you can file jointly in each place.

I would advise you to make sure you apportion the income for each state in which you lived. You don't want to pay state tax on income earned in another state unless you have a permanent state of residence.
