My W-2 Wage and Tax statement form does not have anything in the "box d control number but it is telling me its required?

The control number in box d is not required on the W-2.  If box d is blank and you are receiving the TurboTax message that it is required, delete the W-2 and re-enter the W-2 manually to clear the program error.
