My w-2 amount is different from my end of the year pay stub amount.

Which amount should I put on the tax filing?

Always use the W-2.  It is quite common that the pay stubs and W-2 differ, particularly when there is insurance or a 401(k) plan I nvolved.  It is also why we ALWAYS advise the taxpayer to wait for the W-2 and not try to file from your pay stubs.
