My verification code box 9 keeps saying it’s incorrect once I enter but I enter exactly what is on w2 but keeps saying it’s wrong

The verification codes are new to the tax filings this year.  However, an incorrect or omitted verification code will not delay the processing of your return, so if you are still having issues moving forward with your return, you can remove the code from box 9.  Please see the below link from the IRS for more information on this. My employer information and verification code was already inputted for me I assumed it was the same from last year looking back it's not. I have already submitted my return with last year's verification code. What's going to happen will I be audited will it be delayed ?

I found that putting all 16 (alphanumeric) digits in, without the dashes, worked for TT input.
