My Turbotax return was accepted by IRS but when my tax payment was transferred from my bank IRS returned it the next day. What can I do?

I live overseas, so if IRS sent a letter about this I won't get it for about 5 weeks. What is the most likely reason IRS returned my payment?

I can't think of a reason the IRS would return the payment to the bank -- there's always the possibility of a computer glitch.  Contact your bank to see if they can explain.  Perhaps there were insufficient funds available at the time?  Please see this IRS tax topic:  Topic No. 206 Dishonored Payments
