My TurboTax Premier 2021 no longer launches under Windows 10. How can I fix this?

It has been working, but now I cannot get back into the program.

1)  Oh yeah, a partially-installed Windows update has been known to block TTX startup....reboot your computer...a couple W10 OS updates were released last week.  Check to make sure all those have been downloaded and installed

If that doesn't work

2)  Try downloading and installing the "Manual Update".......it takes longer than usual to install, but it could fix the issue:

Manually Update TurboTax for Windows Software (Basic, Deluxe, Premier, Home & Business) (intuit.com)

3)  You did try the "Run as Administrator" didn't you?

4)  Finally, try running TTX from the Run menu instead of the desktop shortcut......maybe there's something screwy with the desktop shortcut.

Are you receiving any error messages? What is happening when you attempt to log in?

Thanks. This is the desktop version of TurboTax.  After having used the program since January to enter data, I now find that when I click the desktop icon to launch TurboTax 2021, the usual splash screen comes up saying the things may take longer than anticipated, then the splash screen vanishes and nothing else happens.  No error messages.  Looking at the Task Manager, I can see the application TurboTax runs and then quits.  I have tried stopping programs such as MalwareByes, but with no success.

You're welcome. Thanks for providing those details; just to ensure that we are on the same page and can appropriately assist you, your question was generated using the Turbo Tax online product - are you attempting to now use the online product instead?

Thanks.  Perhaps I was confused by the TurboTax support page, but I am using the downloaded desktop version, not the online version.

I have reviewed that resource and updated Java and cleared its cache.  Still the problem persists.  The Turbo Tax splash screen comes up and then goes away and the program is not launched.  Seems weird because it worked last week.

Thank you!!  The manual install fixed my problem.  TTX is now running as it should.
