My tax refund is almost 50% of my gross adjusted income. I just want to make sure that I have not made a mistake. The refund I am getting is more than my tax liability.

If you qualified for Refundable Tax Credits such as the Earned Income Credit, Additional Child Tax Credit, the Additional Child Tax Credit or the American Opportunity Education Credit, it is entirely possible that your Refund is almost 50% of your Adjusted Gross Income and definitely more than your Tax Liability.
