My stimulus was deposited into the wrong account I don’t even recognize the account number can you help

My stimulus was deposited into the wrong account I contacted my bank but they have no way of tracking what account it went to and the IRS doesn’t have anyone answering phones to help anyone can a

As you noted, there is no one at the IRS to assist currently. 

 

You will receive a letter within 15 days to the address that the IRS has on file for you with details about where your payment went and instructions on what to do if you did not receive the money.

 

Unfortunately, there isn't anything else that you can do other than wait for those directions.

I used the free turbo tax stimulus tool to avoid this issue.I even checked the document and it has the correct account information I submitted yet the IRS still has some account with the last four of my social listed as the number.what was the point of using the tool if still this confusion.
