My state return is saying i have 2 w-2's that are the same. its saying i made twice as much money as i did. how do i change it?

For starters, I would take any such communication (letters, emails?) to your company's Accounting or HR department.  Its possible that they transmitted it twice to the IRS (and state)…..perhaps trying to correct and error in the first transmission but forgetting to check the "Corrected" box so that the IRS/state knew to ignore the first transmission.
