My state is not ready to accept tax returns. If I choose to purchase to efile the federal and state tax returns today will my federal tax return be held until my state tax return is ready to be turne

d in? OR will the federal tax be submitted and the state tax return held until the state is ready to accept?

No, your Federal return will not be held, but your state return will.  I suggest that you revisit TurboTax and check to ensure the state return is accepted after e-filing opens for your state.  If there is an error in your return and the state rejects it, you will need to make the correction and re-file the return.

How does one do that? Still waiting on a schedule 1 form for state. In years past it just moved on and you could file federal it's not doing that this year.

E-filing my federal and state returns failed. I assumed it was because my North Carolina forms are not ready. 

Are you saying my Federal return should still have transmitted? Failure of the Federal Return to transmit must be for a different reason?
