My spouse is my dependent with no independent source of her own income. Do I have to file the tax separately or jointly with my spouse?

Both me and my wife are non citizens and non permanent residents (immigration status wise). For tax year 2023 however, I became a resident (for tax purposes ONLY). My wife cannot work in USA. We used to file separately before when I was a non resident (for tax purposes).

A spouse is never a dependent. File married jointly.
