My son is on our marketplace health care policy and is 20 years old. He is not a dependent on our taxes. Does he receive a 1095-A ?

His tax form was rejected since he didn't file a 1095A Can he say he did not get one? or should he have had one?

Yes, he should have received a 1095-A. I imagine that he can go to the website of the marketplace from which you go your health place policy and get his own 1095-A.

In the worst case, just call the marketplace.

He cannot say that he did not get such a form, because the IRS knows that he was on your policy, thanks to the marketplace telling them.
