My request for 2018 extension did not go through it is now beyond april 15 midnight deadline can i still file an automatic extension

I was using turbo tax for my 2018 return and ran out of time. I attempted to file for an extension before midnight but it did not go through what do I do now?

If you e-filed an extension and it was rejected, yes. If your extension was rejected by  the IRS,  you have until April 20, 2019 (April 22, 2019 for ME and MA) to either resubmit or mail your extension request.  For more information, see:
