My question is I want to pay the IRS using a check but my checks have my maiden name on them and my old address can I still use them?

I'm not sure if I sign it using my married name that I used when filing my taxes or use my maiden name?

I believe if you strike through the old name and address and write the new one down on the check that will suffice. Or you can simply pay electronically, and then it won't matter.
