My mom passed away and I had one check that was made payable directly to her estate.I being the executrix of the estate would like to know how do I go about filing taxes for this one item? All other a

Your message was truncated, but you would typically file a Form 1041 if the estate had gross income of $600 or more for the tax year.

your check most likely is not an item of income and therefore no estate return is necessary.
